It was a big week for your boys at Monday, Wednesday, Phriday because this past weekend we were stoked to be celebrating Jensen’s 30th birthday. This weekend-long event was particularly special because it was unlike most of our nights out on the town.
So Friday morning after our buddy Sebastian finished dropping off some paperwork to some divorce lawyers in PA, he hopped on a plane and we all met up at our bachelor pad in AZ. They don’t call it the “Dirty 30” for nothing, and we wanted Jensen’s birthday to be one for the books. First stop, Enterprise to pick up our rental, next stop, the Mojave.
The Tough Mudder
We made it to the Mojave desert by mid-evening. Just in time to hit up the local bar for a couple of brewskis to kick off Jensen’s 30th. We kept it pretty mild, though, because we had big plans to get down and dirty at the Tough Mudder challenge the following morning.
This obstacle course is not for the faint of heart, and by the end of the race, after having already ran the 10K, we were covered head to toe in mud. Afterward, we headed back to our Primm Valley Resort & Casino to freshen up, have a few cocktails, and do a little gambling before dinner.
Dinner at the Palms
After gambling at the casino, we made our way to The Palms in Wonder Valley, and while we definitely could’ve stayed at the hotel for dinner, we wanted somewhere more authentic to the down-and-dirty theme of the weekend, and The Palms had live music and was just an all-around good time.
You know we’re always down for a good party, though, so on our way back to our hotel, we stopped at one of the Casino’s after-hours clubs to get our dance on.
ATVs in the Mojave Desert
To close out the weekend, we enjoyed brunch and mimosas at the hotel’s poolside cabana before we headed out to the Mojave Desert to ride ATVs for the rest of the afternoon.
The trip back to AZ was a long one, but we took the bus so that we could sleep off the weekend and get back to the daily grind bright and early monday morning. Celebrating Jensen’s 30th birthday was a blast, and with Tony’s 21st coming up in the next couple of months, you can be sure that you’ll be hearing more about how we threw down for our best friend’s birthday.
